I’m not giving up, hell, I’ve barely even started, but I have been dealing with health issues this week. I’ve done something to my neck, it hurts lots. 
I’ve still not decided whether to pick the story up 10 years on or to continue where I’ve left off, so, being smarter than the average slug, I’ve decided to start with the time skip and if I later decide to it needs that bit more story at the start, I can fairly easily add it in.
